The 2021 Kinkaid Lake Tournament fees will be collected online to maintain social distancing standards set up due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
Covid-19 has effected the bass club in many negative ways. Cancelled tournaments and positive tests among family members & close friends have been a part of our lives in 2020.
We have an online tournament registration and online payout to winners as a method of reducing contact, social distancing, and keeping everyone safe from this very infectious disease.
It has been brought to our attention that our weigh-ins are in need of more social distancing in an effort to better adhere to CDC guidelines.
It is very easy for us to forget about Covid restrictions and guidelines when we get together in an outdoor setting. That causes a real problem if we want to help in controlling the spread of the disease.
By now most if not all of us are aware of someone we know who has tested positive for Covid-19. Most people have minimal symptoms, but specific “at-risk” populations can be severely effected, often resulting in death.
It is natural for us to feel immortal in these situations. The focus of social distancing and masks is to protect others that we come in contact with.
Keep in mind your proximity to other club members and be respectful of their health.
Eventually we will have this pandemic behind us. Until that time, the masks will be recommended at the weigh-in.
The random takeoff draw will be conducted the Thursday before the tournament with all of the registered Boaters. The takeoff will be posted on the Steel City Facebook group page and the Steel City website.
Boaters and non-boaters can register separately. The preferred registration method is by registering online and following the procedure to pay by check. If this is not possible or you are registering close to the tournament date you can register by PayPal. If anyone has an issue with registering or using PayPal then contact Ed. Payouts will be sent by check to the address that you registered with. No money will be taken or given out at the tournament.

This is NOT an “OPEN” event. Regular membership rules apply. (Click here for the rules and bylaws).

NOTE: ** If you pre-register for the event and have to cancel for any reason just let Ed know before the kickoff time and you will be removed from the event. If you are registered and do not call to cancel then you cannot get your registration refunded.
