The 2020 Wappapello Lake Tournament fees will be collected online to maintain social distancing standards set up due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
Covid-19 has effected the bass club in many negative ways. Cancelled tournaments and positive tests among family members & close friends have been a part of our lives in 2020.
We have an online tournament registration and online payout to winners as a method of reducing contact, social distancing, and keeping everyone safe from this very infectious disease.
It has been brought to our attention that our weigh-ins are in need of more social distancing in an effort to better adhere to CDC guidelines.
It is very easy for us to forget about Covid restrictions and guidelines when we get together in an outdoor setting. That causes a real problem if we want to help in controlling the spread of the disease.
By now most if not all of us are aware of someone we know who has tested positive for Covid-19. Most people have minimal symptoms, but specific “at-risk” populations can be severely effected, often resulting in death.
It is natural for us to feel immortal in these situations. The focus of social distancing and masks is to protect others that we come in contact with.
In order to do our part in following government regulations regarding social distancing we am requiring the use of a face mask during our weigh-ins. The bass club will have disposable masks available for everyone and they will have to be worn while congregating and weighing your fish.
No exceptions.
If you are not wearing a mask, you will not be allowed to weigh your fish.
Keep in mind your proximity to other club members and be respectful of their health.
Eventually we will have this pandemic behind us. Until that time, the masks will be required at weigh-in.
The random takeoff draw will be conducted the Thursday before the tournament (September 10th) with all of the registered Boaters. The takeoff will be posted on the Steel City Facebook group page and the Steel City website.
Boaters and non-boaters can register separately. If anyone has an issue with using PayPal then contact Ed and you can simply mail a check in for your registration. No money will be taken or given out at the event.

NOTE: ** If you pre-register for the event and have to cancel for any reason just let Ed know before the kickoff time and you will be removed from the event. If you are registered and do not call to cancel then you cannot get your registration refunded.
Additionally, if you win please inform us if you want the winnings transferred to PayPal or do you want a check. Cash will not be given out at the weigh in but we can write a check to the winners.
